I believe it is important to contribute to the research community: by organizing seminars and conferences where people can meet and discuss shared interests, and by serving on program committees to support the progress of open scientific research.

Organization

I am organizing the RESISTANT Symposium in Røros on November 23–26, 2026, together with Poul Einar Heegaard, Stanislav Lange, and Hanno Langweg.

I organized the International Workshop on Foundations and Applications of Privacy-Enhancing Cryptography, an affiliated event of IACR Eurocrypt 2026 in Rome on May 10, 2026, together with Lucjan Hanzlik and Daniel Slamanig.

I was General Chair of IACR PKC 2025, held in Røros on May 12–15, 2025, together with Bor de Kock.

I organized the workshop Foundations and Applications of Zero-Knowledge Proofs at the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Edinburgh in 2024, together with Elizabeth Crites, Markulf Kohlweiss, and Akira Takahashi.

I was on the organizing committee of IACR Eurocrypt 2022 in Trondheim, with Colin Boyd as General Chair.

I organized the Norwegian Crypto Seminar 2020 with Kristian Gjøsteen and Martin Strand, the Norwegian Crypto Seminar 2021 with Lise Millerjord and Martin Strand, and the Norwegian Crypto Seminar 2024 with Slobodan Petrovic.

External Assignments

I have testified as an expert witness on the encryption used in the end-to-end encrypted service SKY ECC, and on the data collection performed through the man-in-the-middle attack conducted by Europol against it, in 1) the Borgarting Court of Appeal in Oslo in April 2025, 2) the Oslo District Court in May 2025, 3) the Gulating Court of Appeal in Bergen in June 2025, and 4) the Borgarting Court of Appeal in Oslo in September 2026.

I am a reviewer for the Systems and Electrical Engineering review panel at the Swedish Research Council.
